Jesus is building his church

"I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."
Jesus, Matthew 16:18

Our History

Established In Christ

In 2007 a small group of six people began meeting and praying in St. Catharines for God to build a Jesus-centered, Bible-believing, gospel-focused church. In the summer of 2010, our planting church, Harvest Bible Chapel Oakville, hired Daryl Molyneaux to be our church-planting pastor. After four months of study and preparation in Chicago, the Molyneaux family followed the Lord's call to the Niagara Region to begin this new journey with a special group of God's people. Through a relentless emphasis on prayer and God's Word, by the grace of God, Harvest Bible Chapel Niagara was launched on October 2, 2011.

Multiplied By God

By a supernatural work of the Lord, God breathed spiritual momentum into His new work. Right from the onset it was clear that Jesus was alive, revealing His glory to His people and lighting the fires of revival in many hearts - people began coming to Jesus through faith, following Him in the waters of baptism, finding restoration in their relationship with God, discovering freedom from sin, and experiencing the life of Christ in powerful ways. God has allowed us the amazing privilege of adding to our church family every step of the way - passionate Christ-followers, committed volunteers, gifted staff members and seasoned, Godly elders. We are blessed.

God has also consistently provided for our facility needs. Within the first year He relocated us from Eden Secondary School to Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School. Although this was a giant step of faith, the Lord quickly proved His faithfulness by allowing us to outgrow our capacity for one service and leading us to add a second Sunday service. In 2015, God opened the door for us to lease a ministry center at 301 Scott St. for our staff offices and weekly ministry opportunities. Through all of these changes, God has continued to transform lives and grow His church through His Word, worship, prayer, and evangelism! What an amazing blessing to have a front row seat to watch God at work in Harvest Niagara!

Moving Forward By Faith

From the beginning we have been praying that God would one day provide this local body with a permanent facility to use for the ministry of the gospel. In spring of 2018 we received news that our current lease for our ministry center will most likely not be renewed in two years. It is clear that once again, God is calling us to walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). Since He has always done what is the best for us, we are trusting that this latest development is His way of actively moving us to pursue our own building to call home! This is an exciting time in our history and we earnestly desire to rely on the Lord every step of the way. God is on the move and we can't wait to see what He has next for us!

Our Future Is In God's Hands

Our Opportunity - Two-year timeline for our current lease!
Our Prayer - God's provision of a building!
Our Need - Resources to be financially ready for whatever God brings our way.
Our Hope - Generous and sacrificial giving above and beyond regular stewardship.
Our Trust - God alone. God will do it, in His time, in His way!

“The God of heaven will make us prosper, and we his servants will arise and build"
Nehemiah 2:20a
